Inclusive Recruitment Training
Hire from the widest pool, and hire fairly
Inclusive recruitment means designing every stage of your hiring process so it attracts the widest range of talent and selects fairly, within the law.
Our practical training takes managers and recruiters through the full recruitment journey, from writing an inclusive role profile to competency based interviewing and objective decision making. Better process leads to fairer, better hires.
Why inclusive recruitment matters
Recruitment is where many organisations unintentionally narrow their talent pool before they have even met a candidate. A poorly worded advert, an inconsistent shortlisting approach, or an interview that rewards confidence over competence can all quietly exclude good people, and expose the organisation to risk. This is often where unconscious bias does its quietest damage.
Getting it right widens the field of talent you attract, improves the quality of your hires, and keeps your process fair and lawful. Inclusive recruitment is not a separate exercise bolted onto hiring, it is simply hiring done well. It is a management essential.

Frequently asked questions
What is inclusive recruitment?
It is an approach to hiring that designs each stage, from advert to onboarding, to attract the widest range of talent and select fairly on merit. It removes the barriers and inconsistencies that can inadvertently exclude good candidates, and keeps the process compliant with equality law.
Does inclusive recruitment lower the bar?
No, the opposite. Inclusive recruitment raises the quality of hiring by focusing on objective assessment of the skills and competencies the role actually needs, rather than on impressions or assumptions. It widens the pool of talent you consider and helps you select the best person fairly.
What does the law say about recruitment?
The Equality Act 2010 applies throughout the recruitment process, and Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value is an important consideration. Our training gives participants a clear, practical understanding of how the law applies at each stage, so decisions are both fair and defensible.
Is the training delivered in person or online?
Both. Every session is tailored to your organisation and can be delivered on site or remotely. Get in touch and we will talk through what works best for you.
